How do you word a bridal shower invitation that's held after the wedding?
I'm hosting a bridal shower for step daughter. I'm not sure how to word the invitation. Her wedding was in March. Her husband was deployed to Iraq two days after the wedding. Because of his pending deployment we didn't have time for showers or a big wedding. He will be home in January and we would like to have the shower before they truly begin their new life together. Any help with etiqutte would be greatly appreciated.

How can i word bridal shower invitation for winter themed wedding?
I am using an invitation with snowflakes as design. I dont want to relate the wording to any holiday. I would like to use a cute little poem or something nice. Any help will be appreciated.

I am hosting a bridal shower where the wedding party is also bringing gag gifts....invitation wording ideas?
We want to the guests, but not the bride, in on the fun. We are thinking of tucking a note inside the invites filling them in and inviting them to participate if they wish....with their own gag gifts signed or unsigned under $5 plz . Is that the best way to word the invitation? Can you come up with clever wording, phrasing or a short rhyme? I did this a few years back and it was a hugh success make the gift opening a lot more fun and ppl really got creative. But I can't remember how we worded the shower invite and the gag invite....thanks.In response to Brandy.....sry its not your thing...We had so much fun and it made all the guests actually pay attn to gift opening which gets old fast . Most of the gags were in good taste and in good fun, no one was poking fun at the bride just at marriage and sex....one example....she got his and her soaps his had a hole drilled through the middle .... lol thanks all for your input

Potluck wedding shower? how do we word the invitation?
Hi, we're throwing a potluck wedding shower for my daughter at a hall. Do I actually put the word potluck on the invitation? This way everyone can bring their best dish and bring the recipe so she can start up a recipe collection.One more thing, I know in the US, the parents of the bride don't usually throw the shower but in our culture, it is the norm. Also, I'll make sure I cook enough to feed all invited but I wanted to make it a home cooked recipe event. People don't have to bring food, only if they want.

I'm having a "greenback" wedding shower, how do I word the invitation?
Do I actually put the word greenback on it?Greenback means money only. We just built a house and bought everything we needed and now we are broke so I'd like people to give us money instead of presents so it can help pay for the wedding. How do I say that in a nice way in the invitation?

Wording of wedding shower invitations for moneytree?
I know that a lot of people dont agree with this but my fiance and i have lived together for four years and have everything we need for household items. We are asking the guests to come, not necessarily bring a gift... but if they choose to, a monatary gift would be best. How can i put that in the invitation?
