Good ideas for bridal shower and wedding gifts?
A friend of mine is getting married soon. I am invited to her bridal shower, bachelorette party, and wedding. Do I buy her a present for each occassion? If so, what is a good bridal shower gift? I have never been to one before and I assume she has all the common household items, since she is already living with her fiance.

I am going to a movie themed wedding shower. My assigned movie is Shrek.....please help with gift ideas!!!?
One of the games at the shower will be to guess what movie each person has by what give they give. It needs to be creative but not impossible to guess that it is Shrek.

I want it to be a little more personal than buying some towels or a toaster, so should I...A Put together a " me" gift for the bride mani pedi gift certificate, candles, bath pamper stuff for the shower and then give a nice personalized wedding frame or album for the wedding day...B Get a nice personalized wedding frame or album for the shower and just give a card with money in it for the wedding day?Haha, well she did all the registering. He went once and picked out ridiculous things they don't need so she took over.Why is everyone so against a beautiful picture frame for a wedding picture? It's something I would personally love, and I know she would too.

I am hosting a bridal shower where the wedding party is also bringing gag gifts....invitation wording ideas?
We want to the guests, but not the bride, in on the fun. We are thinking of tucking a note inside the invites filling them in and inviting them to participate if they wish....with their own gag gifts signed or unsigned under $5 plz . Is that the best way to word the invitation? Can you come up with clever wording, phrasing or a short rhyme? I did this a few years back and it was a hugh success make the gift opening a lot more fun and ppl really got creative. But I can't remember how we worded the shower invite and the gag invite....thanks.In response to Brandy.....sry its not your thing...We had so much fun and it made all the guests actually pay attn to gift opening which gets old fast . Most of the gags were in good taste and in good fun, no one was poking fun at the bride just at marriage and sex....one example....she got his and her soaps his had a hole drilled through the middle .... lol thanks all for your input

Good idea for a wedding shower gift for my boss?
Here are the factors The shower is for my female boss. I've worked for her for 14 years. We are close and get on really great. She is sort of like a second mother to me to the point that, unbeknownst to her, I have included her in my will . Her first husband died about four years ago in a motorcycle wreck, and she is getting remarried on the 4 29 to a long term friend. The shower will be held on 5 3. I just need some good ideas for a gift. I want to get her something meaningful.There is no gift registry this is a surprise party for her.
